Detailed Description : This realistic bronze of a bison of the Wild West was originally sculpted by Carl Kauba in the late 19th century (see also Item No. 156.) Never having seen such an animal proved to be no impediment to this Austrian master, as he created what is undoubtedly one of the finest depictions of an American Bison. Our casting of Kauba's work is finished with the deep, rich patina for which Andevan Bronzeworks is known. It is mounted onto a marble base, stands 10" high by 11" wide by 7" deep, and is signed "Carl Kauba" in the bronze.
Like all of our bronzes, this piece is crafted using the finest materials in the hands of the talented artisans in our Southern California art foundry.
