Detailed Description : This classic bronze by French master Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875) depicts an elephant set upon by a pair of attacking Bengal Tigers, one jumping on its back and the other about to be trampled under the elephant's front leg. This artwork is mounted onto a marble base, stands 10" high by 12" wide, and is signed "BARYE" in the bronze. It features a beautiful patina finish in browns and golds and is crafted from the very finest bronze in the hands of the talented artisans in our own California art foundry. This is a piece that will definitely endure for hundreds of years.
