Detailed Description : This large, impressive bronze adds a classical note to any setting. The sculpture by French artist Paul DuBois depicts the fate of Prometheus, doomed by gods to be chained up and pecked at by an eagle each night as punishment for bringing the gift of fire to man.
"Prometheus Chained" is mounted onto a marble base, stands a substantial 29.5" tall by 15" wide, and weighs approximately 100 lbs. It is signed "DUBOIS" in the bronze.
This artwork was cast of the finest silicon bronze by the talented artisans in our California art foundry. It boasts a gorgeous patina finished, applied under high heat to permanently fuse with the metal itself.
