Detailed Description : Modeled after his large-than-life sculpture of the same name in Philadelphia, “The Cowboy” is the quintessential essence of Frederic Remington's life work.
Turning from his saddle, the solitary trooper contemplates with a brusque stare. Feeling a tug on its bit, his horse neighs and slows its pace.
Poised to confront, equipped to defend, “The Cowboy” is a masterful vision of Remington's craftsmanship and understanding of Western themes.
This bronze is mounted onto a marble base, stands 25" high, and is signed "Frederic Remington" in the bronze. It has been crafted of the finest pure bronze by the experienced artisans working in our own California art foundry.

Artist Biography: The bronze artwork of Frederic S. Remington (1861-1909) is universally celebrated as among the best works of American sculpture. His portrayals of cowboys and Indians have come to represent the Wild West across the globe.
