Detailed Description : In a successful attempt to capture the harsh conditions of weather and season on the lives and livelihoods of the western frontier, Remington sculpted "The Norther." A work of art that utilizes textures and symmetry to recreate the appearance of the winter's cold forceful winds and falling snow on his steed, coat and chaps, "The Norther" depicts a determined rider's trek through the barren terrain.
This piece is mounted onto a marble base, stands 21" high by 20" wide, and is signed "Frederic Remington" in the bronze.

Artist Biography: The bronze artwork of Frederic S. Remington (1861-1909) is universally celebrated as among the best works of American sculpture. His portrayals of cowboys and Indians have come to represent the Wild West across the globe.
