Detailed Description : ternalized in full gallop, Remington's "Trooper of the Plains" storms briskly through the wild country. His faithful steed, caught in mid-flight over sagebrush, is an accomplishment of artistic mastery, as all four legs are rendered off the ground. With a yank of the reins and a pistol pointed across his torso, this soldier of the wilderness is captured at full speed ahead.

Andevan Bronzeworks is proud to provide castings of this and other Remington bronzes to The White House and U.S. Department of State as official diplomatic gifts emblematic of American culture. In fact, President Bill Clinton presented one of our castings of "Trooper of the Plains" as a State gift to Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

The piece is available in three sizes ranging from 14.5" up to 25" high. All are signed "Frederic Remington" in the bronze, and mounted onto a marble base affixed with a brass plaque engraved with the title and artist's name. And all are crafted by experienced artisans in our own own California art foundry using only the finest pure bronze.

Artist Biography: The bronze artwork of Frederic S. Remington (1861-1909) is universally celebrated as among the best works of American sculpture. His portrayals of cowboys and Indians have come to represent the Wild West across the globe.

The Western bronzes cast here at Andevan Bronzeworks are also well-known in the U.S. and internationally. We are proud that our bronzes reside in The White House and that many of our bronzes have been used as State gifts to leaders of other nations that are emblematic of American culture.
