Detailed Description : This elegant bronze is one in a series of three ballerina bronzes (see also Item No. 301 and Item No. 377) commissioned by Andevan Bronzeworks in 1993 from noted sculptor Ves Zoric. Zoric lived among the ballet stars in his native Romania and Russia, and applied his first-hand knowledge to show accurate detail in these pieces. Each of his bronzes of dancers speak to their strength and extraordinary grace.
"Ballerina Katarina" was crafted of the finest silicon bronze by the talented artisans working in our own California art foundry. The sculpture has been finished with a gorgeous patina applied with very high heat so that it has permanently fused into the bronze itself. This is a top quality work of art that will endure to be treasured for centuries.
The artwork is mounted onto an attractive marble base, stands 29.5" tall by 16" wide, and is signed "Zoric" in the base.
