About the Art: This image is taken from the cover of the book “Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross,” which is a compilation of DC Comics artwork rendered by award-winning artist, Alex Ross. The book was designed by Chip Kidd.

The piece strikes drama with The Man of Steel, as he gazes ahead while being pummeled by bullets.

This art was designed to be a companion piece to Mythology: Batman, which will be released in 2004.

Mythology: Superman is produced in a giclee print edition of 250. A canvas edition of 100 is available only at special events with Alex Ross.

Each piece is hand-signed by Alex Ross.
