About the Artist: Growing up in a suburb, just outside of the Windy City, Carolyn Emole gained experiences and lessons seen in her art today.
The inherent beauties found in the black and white winters of the city are the exquisite, primitive wonders of Carolyn’s charcoal flowers. The warm flavors of the small town summers come to mind when appreciating her oil paintings. The abstract musings of her monotypes represent a young woman’s hopes and dreams of spreading her wings, strangely naïve and innocent, yet worldly and wise.
Carolyn attended Santa Monica College of Design, Art & Architecture, graduating in 1993. There she studied with such nationally recognized artists as Peter Alezander, Laddie John Dill, George Herms, Debra Sussman and Diane Buckler and more. She then explored the European lands of the masters, which expanded her voice and enriched her abstract forms. Carolyn’s art has experienced an evermore-progressing popularity in Corporate and Private collections alike, from West to East and in-between.
Whether Carolyn paints on canvas, wood, paper or works on a monotype, she finds new visions and colors to share and explore.
