About the Artist: Born and raised in Maine, Daryl Poulin served in the Army from 1968-1970, and then migrated to the Midwest to attend the Art Institute of Chicago. After graduating, he embarked on a career in advertising.
However, a life changing horseback ride through the American West inspired Daryl to begin painting professionally in 1996. His dramatic images portray the American West in their glory. His use of bold colors and dramatic subjects captures the excitement and grandeur of our western heritage.
Making his home in Cody, Wyoming provides Poulin with many opportunities to experience the West. He is regularly asked to participate in the prestigious Buffalo Bill Cody Museum Art Show and auction. In 1998 he won Best of Show and first place in Acrylics at the Santa Fe Trails Art Show at the A.R. Mitchell Museum in Colorado. In 2002 his paintings were used on the cover of the Official Wyoming State Map.
Poulin is a versatile painter, continually exploring new subject matter and evolving as a premier painter. Currently his paintings hang in national and international collections in Hong Kong, Italy, England, and throughout Europe.
