About the Art: Born and educated in Alberta, Jennifer Annesley is a professional artist whose paintings are recognized for their realism, intensity of colour and dramatic sense of light. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alberta in 1989. Annesley's work has captured international attention, and is included in private, corporate and public collections.

Annesley's passion for the art and architecture of past centuries is a strong influence on her work. A focus on light, shadow and texture creates drama in her striking interiors, still life, landscape and portraiture. This accomplished artist has a powerful command of the watercolour and charcoal mediums, enabling her to achieve a vivid sense of place and time. Her work is very time-intensive, allowing Annesley to create about twenty major paintings a year.
