About the Artist: With more than 39 years as a full time professional artist, who developed a passion for vintage cars, trains, ships and airplanes an early age. Stan has produced literally hundreds of paintings documenting historical events, people and places. He researches his subjects to assure the accuracy of the smallest detail to preserve its relationship in time. His work now hangs in three presidential Libraries. Commissioned by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA, his 12 foot by 120 foot mural of the "History of the Flying White House" is on permanent display in the new Air Force One Pavilion. In addition, Stan's Painting of the "U.S.S. Ronald Reagan" is hanging in the Legacy Room of the library. Stan has had the pleasure on meeting and working with many of his boyhood aviation heroes, including the late General Jimmy Doolittle, The late Pappy Boyington, Chuck Yeager, and many many others. Although Stan has logged many hours flying his own airplanes, in recent years pleasure flying has had to take a backseat to the artistic demands of his backlog.
About the Signature Editions: Each lithograph is personally signed by the individual(s) indicated, and each is also personally remarqued by the artist with an original pen and ink drawing in the lower border. Because of these factors, and their scarcity (only 225 of each Collector Sized prints are available in the Signature Series format) these prints appeal to serious collectors. Many of the aces that have signed these prints have passed away in recent years, and several are in limited supply.
