In a style all his own, Terry Redlin recreates another wonderful memory of youth. A young boy and girl have discovered a new friendship. The setting sun casts a warm glow across the sky and the heat of the day fades to a gentle breeze. As these youngsters walk hand in hand, all of their senses are heightened as their summertime romance begins to blossom. They smell the campfire and listen to the sound of the crickets as they watch their shadows dance across the trail. Each step is a new experience they share only with each other…and their trusted furry friends, the Golden Retrievers. In this scene, we are reminded that true friendship makes every sunset more beautiful.

Redlin remembers young love well. He always had a "crush" on the older grade school girls. As a third-grader, he was enamoured with a 6th grade girl. One day the young girl, knowing Terry was hopelessly "in love" with her, gave him a hug. Terry said, "I thought I would pass out cold! Now that's puppy love!"
