About the Artist: Anna Razumovskaya was born during the Cold War, Razumovskaya became exposed to multiple worlds, that of the Communist Regime and that of her sophisticated school life and her fasionista mother. Enjoying and excelling in Art School among her peers, she was influenced further strongly by the various master painters of the 19th Century such as Rembrant, Valentin Serov, Peter Paul Rubens and John Singer Sargent.

Graduating from the Russian State University for Arts in 1991, Razumovskaya was awarded the distinction of high-class artist she went on to study art further in Germany, Belgium and Holland and eventually went to have solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Toronto, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Berlin with her numerous works being sold and distributed around the world, rapidly becoming one of the most popular contemporary artists. She has now settled and lives in Canada, feeling it to be her true home.

Razumovskaya's style is colourful, blending the colour to create the illusion of flowing streams and forms, creating magical almost fairytale portraits of people and places. Her style creates a powerful sense of movement and life and captivates the viewer in what feels like a moving image in a painting, blurred and distorted images line the background, causing a further sense of mysticism and suspense.
