About the Artist

Anna Razumovskaya was born during the Cold War and grew up exposed to contrasting worlds: the austere Communist regime and the sophisticated environment shaped by her fashion-conscious mother. Her artistic journey began at the Russian State University for Arts, where she graduated in 1991 with high honors as a distinguished artist. She further refined her craft in Germany, Belgium, and Holland.

Razumovskaya's works are deeply influenced by master painters such as Rembrandt, Valentin Serov, Peter Paul Rubens, and John Singer Sargent. Her style is characterized by vibrant colors and flowing forms that evoke movement and life, creating magical, almost fairytale-like portraits. Her paintings often feature blurred and distorted backgrounds that enhance their mysticism and suspense.

Anna has held solo exhibitions in major cities worldwide, including New York, Paris, Toronto, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Berlin. Now based in Canada, she considers it her true home. Her art is celebrated for its romanticism and dynamic application of paint, captivating viewers with its sense of movement and emotional depth.
