Detailed Description : This large, impressive bronze by the master of French animal bronzes, Pierre-Jules Mene (1810-1879), was originally sculpted circa 1875. The detail on the horse and its Moroccan rider is exquisite, and the deep, rich patina finish shows off this artwork to maximum effect.
"Mounted Falconer" has been cast from the finest silicon bronze by the experienced artisans in our California art foundry. It is mounted onto a marble base, stands 29" high x 28" wide, and is signed "P.J. Mene" in the bronze.
