Detailed Description : A famous image of Italian Renaissance sculpture, this statue depicts one of the twelve mythic labors of Hercules. The original was sculpted by Rossi, a follower of Michelangelo, for the Palazzo Vecchio in 1550. It depicts Hercules throwing Doimedes to his death by his own man-eating mares.
The bronze is mounted onto a marble base, and stands 16.5" tall by 8" wide. As with all of our bronzes, it is cast by our team of experienced artisans using the finest pure bronze in our own California foundry. It will surely last to be enjoyed for hundreds of years.
