Artist: Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi
Title: "Liberty Enlightening the World" The Finest Depiction of the Statue of Liberty
Medium: Genuine Pure Bronze - Lost Wax Process (Cire Perdue)
Height: 36" (As each sculpture is individually made, sizes stated are approximate. Measurements of most works are from the bottom of the marble base to the highest point of the sculpture.)
Detailed Description : This outstanding statue that is now generally known as the Statue of Liberty was officially titled "Liberty Enlightening the World" by its creator, French sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi (1834-1904).
Our bronze casting was molded directly from the Avoirin model used by Bartholdi to promote investment in his larger-scale project. It was made to this smaller scale by the artist himself, and it captures all the classical majesty of the original standing in New York Harbor, without requiring a dedicated island to display it. Nevertheless, standing at 36" high by 11" wide, and weighing 60 lbs., this bronze makes a substantial statement in any residential or commercial setting.
This bronze casting is the preferred one purchased by preservation groups supporting the statue's fame and maintenance. "Lady Liberty" has been cast from the finest pure bronze by the talented artisans working in our California art foundry, and has the same gorgeous patina finish that Bartholdi used on his original castings. This is surely a top quality work of art that will endure to be treasured by many future generations.
About the Sculpture: Made in the U.S.A. certified pure bronze. Featuring recasts of hundreds of significant bronzes. Setting the standard in hand cast bronzes in the superior Lost Wax Process (Cire Perdue). Practicing in the same manner of the old world masters, with devotion to quality, fidelity and detail. Recasts may be made from originals, reproductions or sculptured after paintings. Our skillful artisans take pride in casting the best foundry bronze.
