About Alex Ross

Alex Ross is a renowned American comic book artist known for his photo-realistic style, which has revitalized classic superheroes into works of fine art. Born on January 22, 1970, in Portland, Oregon, Ross began drawing at the age of three and was scripting and drawing original comic books by thirteen. His breakthrough came with Marvel's *Marvels* in 1994, followed by *Kingdom Come* in 1996, which marked a significant shift in the comic book industry. Ross has won numerous awards, including the Comic Buyer's Guide Award for Favorite Painter, which was eventually retired in his honor.
