Artist Bio

Liudmila Kondakova (b. 1956, Russia) is an acclaimed contemporary artist known for her vibrant and highly detailed cityscapes, particularly of Paris. Trained at the Grabar Center, School of Sacred Arts, Moscow Pedagogical Institute, and Moscow Art Institute, she immigrated to the United States in 1991. Her style, often called Romantic Realism, is characterized by meticulous draftsmanship and an emphasis on clarity and light. Influenced by the techniques of medieval egg-tempera painters and the color palettes of Byzantine and Russian icon artists, Kondakova's works radiate a sense of artistic and spiritual well-being. Her paintings and limited editions are celebrated internationally and reside in private and corporate collections around the world.
