Whether using bold colors and pattern or subdued, softer hues, she is a painter with a gift for color and composition. A native of Philadelphia and a Fulbright scholar, Osborne was captured by the delights of drawing and painting at a young age. She was encouraged to pursue her love of art, graduating with a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1959. Today she teaches at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Whether using bold color, pattern or soft shades to create a minimalist look with a delicate touch, she captures the beauty to be found in the simple portrayal of everyday objects.
