About the Art: The "Bugs Director" piece is the first installment of the Vintage Cartoon Series, which is a progression of vintage imagery taken from classic Warner Bros. placards. These placards were used in the 1930s through to the ‘60s for promotion of upcoming Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes cartoons. Close attention has been paid to the background of this fine art piece to capture the style and detail within the original. The 25 AP cels of "Bugs Director" are distinguished by the use of hand-painted images of Elmer, Porky, Daffy, Tweety and Sniffles. In the regular edition and the original art, all of the characters except Bugs are represented by black line only.
