About the Artist: When Mary Beth Thorngren was three years old, her mother gave her the easel that she had used in college. Mary Beth still uses this easel to paint her vibrant and youthful abstracts and floral still lifes. "I feel my work portrays a sense of lyrical freedom. The bright colors and scratchy lines almost have a child-like quality."
