Artist Biography: Alexandra Nechita
Alexandra Nechita (born August 27, 1985) is a Romanian-American cubist painter who gained worldwide recognition as a child prodigy. Dubbed the “Petite Picasso,” she began working in pen and ink at age two, progressed to watercolors by five, and started using oils and acrylics by seven.
Her first solo exhibition was held at age eight in Los Angeles, attracting capacity crowds and earning her critical acclaim. By age ten, she had held eight solo exhibitions and was recognized internationally for her abstract cubist style.
Nechita’s lithographs are created at Atelier Idem in Paris (formerly Mourlot Press), where legendary artists like Picasso, Chagall, and Miró also worked. Her career has included creating artwork for major events such as the Grammy Awards and leading global initiatives like the United Nations Peace Monument.
Today, Alexandra Nechita’s works are featured in museum collections worldwide and owned by notable collectors such as Oprah Winfrey, Tony Blair, and Ellen DeGeneres.
