About the Art: John 4:14 - In this account we hear Christ bear witness to the woman at the well that He is the way to exaltation. Christ, the master teacher, uses imagery we can all relate to. Who has not thirsted and felt that relief and satisfaction of drinking cool refreshing water? I believe it is a common heritage of the human experience that we thirst for truth as well. Just as physical water sustains and relieves our thirst, the water that Christ gives us, the Gospel, gives relief to our souls, heals our wounds and makes our burdens light. Christ stands before not just the woman, but all mankind, and testifies that He is the Son of God. If we would drink of the truths of the gospel, seek after Him and do His will, we will thirst no more, and those truths will lift us up unto eternal life with our Father in Heaven. "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
