From the Artist: “I admit, I do romanticize the Native American life. I picture them sitting under golden cotton woods, chatting and telling stories, sitting around camp fires, or riding across the plains toward their hunting grounds. I don’t want to picture the hardships or the war - but whatever their life was like - it was big, even epic! Survival in the wild? We can’t even imagine the skills necessary to make it in a couple of days. Now, you can handle your whole life on your phone and everything you need shows up at your door; no skill necessary. So close your eyes for a minute and seek the GRAND LIFE. There is something bigger than our survival - there are battles unseen in our minds, wars that should be waged to push back against the thoughts of aloneness, purposeless living, and the likes of anger. Our Creator gives us all choices each day - to LIVE or to DIE. He wants us to choose LIFE - His Life. HE is a necessary presence in our spirit to rise above the mundane and debased life that so easily overtakes us.
