From the Artist: At the age of 14, I saw a painting in my families church showing a very agonized Jesus Christ on a cross looking up to his father with lines of red, purple, and blue paint whipped across his body. This painting moved me more than any crucifixion I had ever seen. I knew that some day I would also create such a moving painting. After the 3rd piece I created in the Freedom series, "Reflections of Freedom", many people pointed out an angel hidden at the top of the rays of light. I didn't intend to have this happen, however everybody's explanation was that maybe this was divine. That told me was it was time to start planning the painting I saw as a child.
