About the Artist:

Robert Burridge expresses, –It is said, •Your heart doesn't know how old you are.ê For me, it's true. Painting everyday in my small studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I feel like a kid again playing with color, design, paint and canvas, which reminds me of the saying, •It's never too late to be what you always should have been.ê Follow your bliss!”

In 1943, Robert was born in a little farm town near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. As a child, Robert performed one-man circus shows inside his familyês barn. His first artwork was making circus posters announcing his own shows. By the sixth grade, Robert entered his first art competition and won.

Robert graduated from the University of the Arts, formerly Philadelphia Collage of Art, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design and a minor in Fine Art Painting in 1966. As a designer, he got the opportunity to create and invent new products. He currently still holds 23 design, mechanical and chemical patents. During the next 19 years, Robert Burridge held many honored positions in various committees as well as being a professor and CEO of his own advertising and design agency.

In 1985, Burridge turned his passion of painting into his career. He retired from industrial design and became a contemporary fine art painter, and moved to California's Central Coast. His original paintings are in six international galleries, on Starbucks Coffee mugs, Pearl Vodka bottles, and other various places. Robert Burridgeês work has received lifetime honors, including The Franklin Mint Award and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society's prestigious Crest Medal Award previously awarded to Pablo Picasso, John Singer Sargent and Georgia O'Keeffe.
