Hanna-Barbera Scooby Doo Hand-Painted Limited Edition Cel: "Mystery Mask Mix-Up"
Artist: Hanna-Barbera Limited Editions
Title: Mystery Mask Mix-Up
About The Art:
The original concept drawing by Iwao Takamoto was inspired by the action in the classic "Scooby-Doo, Where are You!" episode of the same name. A master inking of Mr. Takamoto's original drawing was made by Helene Hartman. This line art, along with both the Hanna-Barbera Animation Art and Iwao Takamoto Design seals, was then silk-screened onto a cel. Each cel was then hand-painted on the reverse side using the original Hanna Barbera colors. The background by Dennis Durrell was reproduced on acid free paper utilizing the lithography process. The edition number was hand-inked on each cel in an edition of only 150 pieces. In the final step of production, Mr. Takamoto, along with studio founders William Hanna and Joe Barbera approved each cel with their signatures.
