About the Art: Sometimes events line up and give us a clue that there is a purpose and a plan for our lives. Things don’t just happen randomly without meaning, but rather come into our lives as points of connection, moments of insight, or new paths of direction. Our eye might catch a glimpse of something that moves us “that way” and we end up encountering a life changing experience. I painted “heavenly signs” during the last North American Solar eclipse, when people were traveling to see the total block out of the sun that happens so rarely. I decided to put my figures in that curious state of noticing something from above. In this case, it is a soaring eagle, which might have meant that they were on the right path or even a warning. The Spirit speaks in our mind and confirms our path or our decisions with thoughts and gives us confidence to move forward. If He hadn’t spoken to me over the years in many direct ways, I would questions where I am, and what I’m doing. With confidence, however, I can say “God put me here” because Bonnie and I have made a habit of asking or consulting with Him and then following the leading that comes from within.
