About the Art: I had been wanting to do an important fox painting for a long time and I thought a close-up of four young foxes would make a very decorative painting. In my preliminary sketch, one of the four young kits turned out to look a bit too adult, so I decided to make a mother out of it. I did another sketch, but I was not happy with the three kits. Because foxes can easily have six in a litter, I added two more young ones. - Carl Brenders
