About the Artist:
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1944 and has lived and worked in Holland since 1976. Prior to that he spent 10 years in London, where he exhibited his work several times.
He is interested in figuration and realism and he combines, in his pictures, elements from reality with abstract form that are a result of the painting process.
The reason for Gorki Bollar going to Holland in 1976 was that he received an invitation from the Stedelijk Museum.
