Artist's Statement
"I enjoyed balancing and contrasting the warm embers of a dying campfire with the aurora borealis - the amazing phenomenon also known as the northern lights. It is one of those natural things that has captivated people all over the world for millennia. There are a lot of things that scientists have discovered about it, but I'm more interested in the emotional side because it is so beautifully ethereal."
