About the Artist: Growing up in northern Minnesota gave Jim Kasper early access to the woods surrounding nearby Crow River. He would often be seen rambling along the winding river bank, collecting bits and pieces of rock, feathers and bone. Each article helped young Kasper gain a better understanding of the world of nature. Following an early career in graphic design and illustration, Kasper returned to northern Minnesota with his family, where nature is as close as his own backyard.
