Detailed Description : This large, striking bronze artwork by Professor Otto Poertzel (1876-1963) depicts a beautifully costumed lady out for a stroll with her two dogs. This is one of the best examples of Art Deco sculpture and conjures up the archetypal woman of the period: tall, slender and extremely chic.
The sculpture has been cast of the finest bronze by the talented artisans working in our own California art foundry, and boasts a stunningly gorgeous patina finish. This is a top quality sculpture that will attract admiration wherever it is situated.
"The Aristocrats" is mounted onto a marble base, and has substantial scale at 23.5" high by 21" wide by 15" deep. It is signed "O. Poertzel" in the bronze.
