Detailed Description : This magnificent bronze of a calling stag standing atop a rocky crag was originally sculpted by French animal artist Charles Valton (1851-1918) in the late 19th century. He captures the grace and nobility of the stag, and the beauty of the piece is enhanced by the deep, rich patina finish we have applied.
"The Calling Stag" has been crafted from the finest silicon bronze by the talented artisans in our California art foundry. It is mounted onto an oval marble base, stands 18" tall by 15" wide, and is signed "CH. VALTON" in the bronze.
About the Sculpture: Made in the U.S.A. certified pure bronze. Featuring recasts of hundreds of significant bronzes.
