Detailed Description : This gorgeous portrait bust of the Diana, mythical goddess of the hunt, was sculpted by French master Alexandre Falguiere and first exhibited at the Salon of 1882.
The bust measures 16" high by 15" wide by 9" deep. It is mounted onto a marble cube of 5" in dimension, making the total height including the base a substantial 21". The piece bears the artist's flourishing signature in the metal as well as the Thiebaut Brothers foundry mark on its interior bronze pedestal.
This is a beautiful bronze artwork made to the highest standards, and is sure to endure to be treasured for generations.
