About the Artist: Glory was a true labor of love; love of my country, my family, and for the love of creating a painting that helps others, not just simply ‘see,’ but experience all the emotions our flag represents. I worked on this piece for SIX YEARS, painstakingly making sure that every stitch, wrinkle, and color truly represented our beautiful flag, the symbol of this great nation. I wanted to create the ultimate American Flag painting to be proudly exhibited in homes, organizations, and offices throughout our country and the world.” –Seymour Schachter
Glory originally started out as a gift for Seymour’s son Mark, whose room décor was Americana. As he immersed himself deeper and deeper into the painting, and months turned into years, he came to the realization that Glory had a much deeper meaning, and this “labor of love” was a legacy that needed to be shared and passed on to all who love the glory of America.
