About the Artist:
Edward D. Walker is a world renowned professional marine artist who is equally at home painting deep-sea sailing vessels, the majestic Cunard ships, RMS Titanic and countless other ships of all types and eras. His work can be found in public, private and royal collections.
In 2010, Walker was the official artist for the RMS Titanic Artefacts Exhibitions, which toured Australasia, North America and Europe. Other commissions include the Cunard ship “Queen Mary 2”, which was published as a first class stamp for the Royal Mail and was also available as First-day covers and in educational packs. A further Cunard commission allowed the artist to paint the old Cunard ships “Britannia” and “Persia”; these works now hang in the interior of Cunard’s “Queen Victoria”. Walker’s more recent Cunard commissions are now adorning the interior of the new “Queen Elizabeth”.
Walker takes great pride in being classed as a maritime expert, noted for his authenticity and attention to detail in regard to each work he undertakes, be it for a private individual or a commission emanating from his enduring partnership with the Cunard Shipping Line.
Walker’s original paintings are acknowledged by naval and maritime experts as important significant historical documents, as well as outstanding works of beauty.
