Louis Renard was born in 1678 and was a member of the Huguenot family.
Louis Renard was a French cartographer flourishing during the early years of the 18th century, particularly between 1715 and 1739.
His most significant publication was issued in Amsterdam in 1715 under the title ‘Atlas de la Navigation et du Commerce’. This was re-issued on several occasions, including in 1739 and 1745 by Ottens.
Little is known about his private life.
Louis Renard died in 1746.
